Tom Brady’s Birmingham splash the cash! Championship club secure deal to sign ex-Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi who moved for £10m just six months ago.

Birmingham City has completed the eye-catching acquisition of Kyogo Furuhashi from Rennes, with the Japanese forward returning to football in the UK just six months after a £10 million move to Ligue 1.
The ex-Celtic player joins the Tom Brady-backed Blues on a three-year contract as their ambitious summer recruitment drive continues in preparation for the Championship.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Furuhashi has officially joined Brady’s squad, signing a three-year contract with Birmingham City after struggling for playing time at Rennes. The Japan international failed to score in France and has now joined Chris Davies’ freshly promoted Championship side. Despite speculation of a return to Celtic, he selected St Andrew’s as he seeks to relaunch his career.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Furuhashi joins Tomoki Iwata, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Demarai Grey, Tommy Doyle, and James Beadle as summer signings to Birmingham’s rebuild. The Blues, led by NFL legend Tom Brady, are making an aggressive drive to compete for the championship.
