Player travels for Norwich City medical – Rejects another club, choose to join Canaries
We discussed Danish reports over the weekend that Norwich City is attempting to sign Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brøndby IF this summer.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri announced that Norwich City and Brøndby have struck a complete deal on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the upcoming days, the forward is expected to finalise a move to Carrow Road, he says.
Additionally, according to Tipsbladet, Norwich City and the Danish team have reached a transfer agreement for the 23-year-old.
Kvistgaarden received an offer from a ‘French giant’, but the report hasn’t provided their details. It won’t matter because the Denmark international wasn’t keen and has chosen to join the Canaries.
To finalise his transfer to Norwich City, he must sign the contract and undergo medical examinations. As a result, according to the report, the attacker will not be attending the Danish club’s Austrian training camp. In order to complete the transfer procedures, he will instead go to England.
Kvistgaarden flew to England on Sunday night to take medical exams with Norwich City, according to Tipsbladet. His transfer ought to be officially announced shortly.
The amount Brøndby will receive from his sale to Norwich City is not mentioned by Tavolieri or Tipsbladet.
