Celtic are reportedly tracking Napoli’s teenage attacker Giuseppe Ambrosino as the club looks for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old Italian striker, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone in Serie B, scored five goals and assisted four times in 36 games.

Ambrosino, a product of Napoli’s development academy, has yet to make a senior appearance for Antonio Conte’s team, but he has acquired significant experience on loan at Como, Cittadella, Catanzaro, and, most recently, Frosinone.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Serie A clubs Cagliari and Cremonese expressing interest in taking him on loan for the coming season.
Ambrosino reportedly approved a move to Cagliari, but Cremonese have now entered the race, potentially changing the striker’s next destination.
Ambrosino has also played regularly for Italy’s Under-21 national team, accumulating 11 caps and two goals. His international experience, combined with his club accomplishments, have made him a highly sought-after forward.

Celtic’s interest in Ambrosino implies that the club is aggressively looking for options in the attack this summer. However, due to interest from Italian teams and the player’s obvious desire to continue his development in Serie A, even signing him on loan may be hard.
As the transfer market advances, Celtic will need to act quickly if they want to get Ambrosino to Parkhead, especially since rival clubs are aggressively pursuing the young striker.
