MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

Dear Blades,

It is definitely very difficult for us to have lost in the play-off final last weekend. Even though we all wanted Sheffield

United to return to the Premier League as quickly as possible, it was not going to happen this time.

We wish Sunderland AFC well and congratulate them on their accomplishment.

To get to Wembley in the first place, the entire team—including our employees, players, and everyone behind the

scenes—performed incredibly. We overcome an injury crisis and a points deduction, and we will continue to benefit

from this passion and tenacity.

It’s never easy to get promoted from this division, but we can promise you that this challenging loss won’t define us.

This is a setback, but that’s all it is. It won’t discourage us, lessen our passion, or alter our goal of delivering reliable,

elite football to Sheffield.

Last week, we witnessed the beating heart of our city at Wembley, and we will never forget the roar that has driven

the squad since August.

As the current guardians of this amazing club, it is our responsibility to get back together, regroup, and refocus in

order to ensure that Saturday’s setback only acts as a motivator for us to get better going forward. All of us are eager

to do that and are sure of our strategy to create a stronger, more contemporary club.

We will do this by continuing the forward thinking work we have already begun to address some of the foundations

at the club that underpin our ability to succeed.

We promised to start modernising every part of Sheffield United when we announced the takeover in December so

that it could regularly compete in the Premier League.

And while we must first arrive, our goal is to break the cycle of boom and bust.

In actuality, football is constantly evolving and has never been more competitive. As a result, we are putting in

endless effort to strengthen our position in the vital field of hiring. We will accomplish this by hiring the smartest

and brightest personnel by making far better use of data and analytics.

We are also pursuing our ambitious goals of making significant improvements to the training ground and player

amenities, transforming player welfare and medical care in a way that leads the industry, and maintaining the

strength of our academy.

We are certain that we can realise Sheffield United’s enormous potential, beginning with another attempt at

promotion the following season.

Last but not least, even though last weekend didn’t turn out the way we wanted, your unwavering support during

every test this season—at Plymouth or Middlesbrough, in the rain or the shine—has motivated us all. You are the

lifeblood of this team, and we pledge to keep working until Sheffield United is prosperous, successful, and resilient

for many years to come.
