Player who left QPR last year on trial with EFL side.

According to the Blackpool Gazette, Blackpool are considering putting former QPR player Osman Kakay on trial.
Blackpool are keeping an eye on the defender. They used him in a behind-the-scenes friendly against Accrington Stanley.

Kakay, 27, departed QPR last summer when his contract expired. He later played for Boavista in Portugal. According to the Blackpool Gazette’s most recent update on his position, the Tangerines are keeping track of him.
It’s unclear at this point whether they’ll make him an offer. The Seasiders are looking for a new right-back as they prepare for another season in League One. Their supervisor, Steve Bruce, said: “We need to look at the right back position because the young Irishman (Andy Lyons) is only recovering from a significant knee injury. That post is currently available.
We hope young Andy stays well; that is the key. No one works harder than he does, therefore he deserves some luck. He played 20 minutes in the last game, and he’s spent the summer working hard on his conditioning, so let’s hope he stays healthy.

WHO WAS THE FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGERIAL DEPARTURE?

Kakay might help Blackpool’s defence. If he joined, he would increase the competition and depth in their ranks.

The Sierra Leone international, who has 26 caps, progressed via QPR’s academy. He was a regular for the London team at several young levels.
During his time with the Hoops, he was loaned to Livingston, Chesterfield, and Partick Thistle to get playing experience. The London-born player went on to play 113 games with the R’s in all competitions, scoring two goals from the back before leaving.
What now for Blackpool and Osman Kakay?
Blackpool have to decide whether to sign Kakay. They will be considering a move. Meanwhile, they are preparing for the launch of the new campaign. They have an experienced management in Bruce and plan to challenge at the top of the division.
The Tangerines have entered the market and signed Fraser Horsfall, Michael Ihiekwe, Jordan Brown, and George Honeyman, among others.
They have the opportunity to receive more reinforcements during the following few months.
