The five-part documentary ‘Built in Birmingham: Brady and the Blues’ will premiere on Amazon Prime on August 1 and chronicle Birmingham City’s successful 2024–25 season.
The Blues’ first team team was filmed during their historic League One season, in which they won the championship with 111 points.
Interviews were conducted on a regular basis with the club’s backroom personnel, chairman Tom Wagner, investor Tom Brady, manager Chris Davies, and some of his biggest stars.
Brady and Wagner were filmed at Wembley during the Blues’ loss to Peterborough United in the Vertu Trophy final, and the documentary is anticipated to include Wagner’s whole speech to the players from the Royal Box.
“We will get to the Premier League,” Wagner states in a brief promotional film. The only question is not whether, but when.
Wagner continues, “Nothing is going to stop us from getting there, OK?” at one section of the address.
The video crew questioned Brady about the unsuccessful hiring of Wayne Rooney and had access to the dressing room for some of Davies’ most acerbic team discussions.
“I believe all sports start at the top and in the end, we screwed up.” Brady acknowledged.
