A graduate of the Worcestershire Academy, the 22-year-old wicketkeeper first attracted attention with some outstanding performances for the U18s. Over the next two seasons, he became a vital member of the 2nd XI before making his Vitality T20 Blast debut last season.
Cullen is having yet another incredible season, with 344 runs in T20 cricket and 143 runs in red-ball cricket.
Speaking about his renewal, Cullen said it was easy to decide to continue his adventure with Visit Worcestershire New Road.
I really enjoy playing cricket here in Worcestershire; I feel like I’m just getting started, and I’m glad I can keep developing here.
“I’ve been a member of this club for some time, and I want to get started and demonstrate my abilities to the fullest. I’m in the greatest atmosphere to achieve it because of the coaches and guys surrounding me.
“Hopefully, wherever I play, I can continue to score runs and support the team, and when the time comes, I’ll take advantage of the chance to help this team win some hardware.”
According to head coach Alan Richardson, the youthful keeper-batter has a promising future.
Every year, several players emerge and capture your attention; Henry is undoubtedly one of them.
We are naturally delighted that he will be continuing his career here at Worcestershire because “he has an exceptional cricketing IQ for a young lad and his ceiling for potential is so high.”
