According to Bailey, who spoke exclusively to TBR Football, “I am told that Forest is frustrated with how this has

played out; they never denied a clause but they never confirmed it.”

“Forest believed that was an excellent deal, but they lost Elanga.

They truly intended for him to be the centre of attention for their team the following season, so this one just irritates

them. It is a serious setback for them.

Spurs have taken action after the player’s representatives spoke with other teams.

“It is obvious that the Spurs’ strong relationship with Gibbs-White’s agents has aided them in closing a deal.

“They moved quickly when they did.”

Despite Man City’s interest, Bailey affirmed that Gibbs-White was determined to sign with Tottenham.

Although other teams were in negotiations and the Citizens were willing to match any offer for Gibbs-White, Gibbs-

White’s position helped Spurs win the race.
