The 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate will sign a four-year contract at Ibrox.
Djeidi Gassama, the Rangers’ seventh summer acquisition, is about to be officially presented after being photographed in club colours at St George’s Park.
Record Sport revealed that the 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate will sign a four-year contract at Ibrox after two impressive seasons with Sheffield Wednesday.
And the leaked photo of Gassama in the club’s new red Umbro training jersey is a shock to Wednesday fans who had hoped that a returning Danny Rohl would entice the wide player to stay at Hillsborough.

However, Gassama appears to have already begun work at England’s training facility at St George’s Park, where Wednesday will also be based this week.
The France U20 international will join Lyall Cameron, Max Aarons, Joe Rothwell, Emmanuel Fernandez, Thelo Aasgaard, and Nasser Djiga at Rangers, with Russell Martin leading the way ahead of a crucial Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos later this month.
Martin is also looking for a custodian, with Brighton rising star Carl Rushworth being liked since the two previously worked together at Swansea. Any move for a shot-stopper will cast greater uncertainty on Jack Butland’s future.
They’re also interested in a number of other wingers and will likely look for a new striker once the futures of Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers are determined.
