Noni Madueke.

Fabrizio Romano broke the story on Thursday, revealing that Arsenal have agreed to pay £52 million to capture the

England international from Chelsea.

“Here we go, Noni Madueke to Arsenal!” Romano wrote on X. Chelsea approved the negotiating sum, which topped

£50 million with add-ons. Madueke is set to complete the transfer after signing a five-year contract with Arsenal a

few days ago. The winger leaves #CFC to join #AFC.

Although Madueke’s impending transfer to the Emirates only serves to emphasise what an incredible deal Newcastle

United is receiving for Elanga, Arsenal will still have great hopes for him.

While the Magpies are spending a little bit more money, they are getting someone who has enjoyed more success in

the Premier League and is much better suited to the style of play that Howe implements.

Anthony Elanga vs Noni Madueke in the Premier League:

Elanga is a blatant winger, but Madueke is a trailblazer who can thrill fans. Elanga was among the Premier League’s

most productive players the previous season and had exceptional speed. The only players with more assists were

Jacob Murphy and Mohamed Salah.

Right wingers who are 23 years old are expensive to acquire, but both Newcastle United and Arsenal will be pleased

with their acquisitions. However, Elanga to Newcastle seems like the superior choice on the surface. Howe would

undoubtedly believe so as he prepares to bolster his Newcastle United team at last.

Newcastle United are no strangers to Madueke. He is a player who has been linked with a move to St James’ Park

during the Magpies’ search for a winger.

Given Newcastle’s interest in Madueke, a move to Tyneside did seem feasible last summer.

Madueke’s potential was reportedly appreciated by Howe, but a move from Stamford Bridge to St. James’ Park was

not imminent. Given that Chelsea values Madueke at almost £60 million, that might have been a financial decision.

After a year, Madueke is leaving for a lower price, but Chelsea is still making a respectable profit. In 2023, they paid

£29 million for him.

Arsenal will be hoping that he proves to be worth the money.
