Leeds United and Sunderland are reportedly locked in another transfer battle, this time for Nice winger Jeremie Boga. The 28-year-old, valued at around £10.3 million, could be set for a return to English football after previous spells with Chelsea and Birmingham City.

Boga’s Career Path Sparks Interest

The Ivorian international began his career at Chelsea before establishing himself in Serie A with Sassuolo, where his performances earned him a move to Atalanta and later Nice. While his time in France has been inconsistent, Boga’s versatility—capable of playing on either wing or centrally—makes him an attractive option for both Championship clubs.

Transfer Market Rivalry Reignites

This potential move continues the growing competition between Leeds and Sunderland in the transfer market. The Black Cats have already beaten Leeds to signings like Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki this summer, while both clubs have also been linked with Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic. Turkish side Trabzonspor have reportedly submitted an €8-9 million bid, but Leeds and Sunderland could yet rival their offer.

Where Boga Would Fit at Leeds

With Manor Solomon returning to Tottenham and Jack Harrison’s future uncertain, Daniel Farke may see Boga as a cost-effective option to bolster his wide options. The Whites still boast depth with Daniel James, Wilfried Gnonto, and Largie Ramazani, but Boga’s experience could provide a different dimension.

Sunderland’s Attacking Reinforcement

For Sunderland, Boga would add proven quality as they prepare for life back in the Championship. His ability to create chances and carry the ball forward aligns with the Black Cats’ style under their current manager.
