Juventus Flop With PL Experience Would Love To Sign For Tottenham

Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz representatives have spoken to Tottenham ahead of a potential move back to the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur completed their first major signing of the summer transfer window on Thursday by acquiring the services of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham. And on the similar day, they also triggered Morgan Gibbs-White’s £60m release clause at Nottingham Forest. The player will travel to N17 to complete his medical before signing a long-term contract with Spurs.

It is good to see the Lilywhites have finally accelerated their transfer business after a dull start to the transfer window. Gibbs-White will be a fantastic addition to Tottenham’s midfield ranks, competing with James Maddison for a spot in the starting XI next season. But Thomas Frank’s side are in dire need of a midfielder who can control the flow of the game and create chances from deep.

Juventus have shown an interest in signing Yves Bissouma, whose departure would lead to the North London club looking out for a significant upgrade. And seemingly they do have a player in their sights.

As per recent reports, Douglas Luiz has spoken to both Tottenham and Manchester United over a potential return to the Premier League. The Brazilian left Aston Villa to join Juventus last summer but failed to impress.

After clocking just 516 minutes across 19 Serie A games, the central midfielder has been told to find a new club as he does not feature in manager Igor Tudor’s plans. Juventus are eyeing a midfield revamp as they prepare for the 2025/26 season, and that involves moving on Douglas Luiz after just one season in Turin.
