Blackpool confirm Charlton Athletic transfer interest

Charlton Athletic’s interest in signing Blackpool player Rob Apter has grown after boss Steve Bruce’s honest statement this weekend.

The Addicks have already been active in the transfer window, looking to strengthen ahead of their Championship comeback. Charlton Athletic boss Nathan Jones has stated that supporters should expect more, which might involve Apter.

The winger, who would provide an out wide option on the right after Thierry Small left as a free agent, has been with Blackpool since he was 15. The 22-year-old had a breakout season at Bloomfield Road the previous year, appearing in 45 league games and scoring eight goals.

I’m not sure if there are any further developments.

“He is a fading breed. He’s one of those persons who can push through obstacles and achieve success. None of us want him to leave, but it’s football. We are always planning. You never want to sell your finest players, but when the big boys offer a cash package, it becomes impossible.”
