Tracey Leaburn to leave the club

Charlton Athletic can reveal that Tracey Leaburn, Head of Men’s First-Team Player Care, will depart the club next month following 10 years of dedicated service.

Throughout her decade with the Addicks, Leaburn has been an invaluable resource for both players and staff. She has also established a close bond with the club’s supporters, earning one of four Supporter of the Year awards in 2020.

Reflecting on her departure, Leaburn stated: “It has been an extremely painful decision to leave the club, but after ten years, I believe the time has come for a new challenge.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Charlton and have had the opportunity to work with and meet so many wonderful people. Charlton has a wonderful fan base that has supported everything we’ve tried to accomplish. Like them, I’m excited to root on the boys in the Championship.”

Club chairman Gavin Carter added, “We wish Tracey all the best in the future. She has done an excellent job at Charlton, not only in her day-to-day duties, but also in the numerous ways she has gone above and beyond her role.

“In particular, she has been the driving force behind our ground-breaking matchday PSA testing effort, which has saved many lives over the last eight years. This is something we are quite proud of, and we will continue to support as a football club.

“While we are sad to see her go, Tracey will always be part of the Charlton community.”
