The Black Cats have been linked with a bid for Spezia’s midfielder Salvatore Esposito.
Sunderland are interested in acquiring Salvatore Esposito, a former Italian international midfielder, according to reports.
The Black Cats have already added midfielders Noah Sidiki and Habib Diarra from Union SG and Strasbourg, respectively, as well as wingers Simon Adingra from Brighton and Chemsdine Talbi from Club Brugge.

Veteran left-back Reinildo Mandava has signed on a free transfer, and the Black Cats have also added Enzo Le Fee to their permanent roster.
The team now appears to be looking to bolster its midfield options. TBR Football has stated that Sunderland is one of several clubs interested in Esposito.
The midfielder had a standout season with Spezia in Serie B, but the club’s failure to achieve promotion has fuelled speculation about a possible loan move to a higher level of football.
