Reading FC parking changes ahead of upcoming season

Reading FC parking changes ahead of upcoming season.

The parking arrangements for the forthcoming season have been revealed by Reading Football Club. The Park and Ride and the off-site parking lot six off the A33 will be managed by a new operator in the vicinity of the stadium. Parking on matchdays will continue to be available at the same location as before, and on-site parking costs will not change. However, the price for parking lot number six has gone up. £10 in advance or £15 on the day will now be the new price.

In an effort to increase security, the club is also getting ready to install an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera. This implies that supporters will need to log their vehicle’s registration plate at the time of purchase. In order to be ready for when the cameras are placed, people who have bought seasonal parking permits will need to provide their information at the time of purchase, even if it is not currently required for a match-by-match basis.

When Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur visit the SCL Stadium for a friendly on Saturday, a sizable crowd is anticipated for the first time this season. Next Saturday, Portsmouth will wrap up their preseason before Huddersfield Town visits for the first League One home game on August 9 (12.30pm kickoff).
