Brighton player left confused by transfer situation – Agreed personal terms and everything paused
Since confirming their interest in Brighton & Hove Albion’s Igor Julio on July 7th, Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has not made any significant progress.
Today, El Diario Vasco discusses the center-back’s predicament and provides analysis.
The centre-back desires to depart. Brighton and the Amex are also trying to get rid of him this summer.
The 27-year-old and La Real have already reached a personal agreement, so there shouldn’t be any issues. The Seagulls want to sell him, therefore they must come to a deal with them.
The Spanish club are aware of this, but they aim to sign Igor Julio on loan with an option to buy. At this moment in time, Fabian Hürzeler’s side aren’t keen on sanctioning a loan move.
According to El Diario, Vasco is awaiting a firm move from Real Sociedad, which they haven’t made yet. He and his group had been startled by their lack of movement.
Real Sociedad reportedly has to make a few exits before attempting to sign Igor Julio. This made it possible for Sunderland and Burnley to enquire about the defender’s condition after VfB Stuttgart and AS Roma did so last week.
He wants to join Real Sociedad, but they are informed that Brighton will agree if any of the other parties agree.
Brighton needs to be aware of—and most likely will be—that the Basque club may try to drag things out before attempting to negotiate a better contract or possibly a loan at the conclusion of the window, as we explained in early July.
Nayef Aguerd experienced that last year when he moved on loan from West Ham to Real Sociedad on 30 August.
