According to Sky Sports, Hibernian and Charlton Athletic have both rejected Blackburn Rovers’ approach for Lewis Miller.
Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers are both interested in signing the right-back this summer. Rovers are gearing up for another year in the Championship.
Miller, 24, is a crucial player for Hibernian and is contracted till 2026. He has made 85 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership team, scoring five goals from the back.
According to Sky Sports’ most recent report on his predicament, the Edinburgh club has turned down £1 million proposals from Rovers and the Addicks to sign him. They are holding out for more money.

His contract at Easter Road was recently extended for a further 12 months after his current club activated it. At the time, their head coach, David Gray, told their website, “This decision makes perfect sense.” Lewis has been working really hard on his game; he’s a highly coachable player, and he’s seen the results thus far this season.
“He has demonstrated his progress as a player through his performances for us and on the international scene. He has a wonderful personality and a strong desire to improve. We are looking forward to continuing our journey together.
Blackburn Rovers eye Lewis Miller
Miller might be a replacement for Blackburn Rovers’ Callum Brittain, who has an uncertain future at Ewood. Rovers will have to pay additional money after their initial offer was rejected.
The Australian international, who has 14 caps, is one of Hibernian’s most valuable assets. They don’t want to lose him for cheap anytime soon.
Miller began his career as a teenager in Australia, playing for Manly United, Sydney FC, and North Shore Mariners. He later joined the Central Coast Mariners, where he broke into the main squad and played 59 games before moving to Scotland.
What next for Blackburn Rovers?
Blackburn Rovers must consider whether to pursue Miller again at Hibernian. Rovers will have to pay more than £1 million to obtain him.
They may also have to turn down Charlton Athletic’s interest in signing him. The Addicks, like Birmingham City and Wrexham, are back in the second tier after being promoted from League One, and they’ve been active recruiting recently.
Valerien Ismael’s side will begin next season with an away trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday, August 9th, to face West Brom. Meanwhile, they have friendly scheduled against Everton and Elche.
