Angus Kinnear locked in talks with David Moyes
In their second game, Everton lost to Blackburn 1-0, and they have yet to win in their preseason campaign. There was a lot of hope going into a crucial summer as David Moyes’ team finished the previous campaign in outstanding form.
Despite letting go of a number of senior players, Everton has been comparatively slow in the market, and their plans for the upcoming campaign are not going well. The only significant addition to the squad thus far is Thierno Barry, who was not included in the lineup against Blackburn, when Everton was much below par and it is obvious that adjustments are required.

After a dull ninety minutes in which nobody seemed even close to fully recovered in preparation for the Premier League season, Everton lost at Ewood Park.
Clearly, the squad needs reinforcements if Everton are to make any improvements next season, and Moyes knows this.
New CEO Angus Kinnear, who joined in the summer, now has a big task on his hands to help Moyes recruit the players he needs to complete his squad.

According to a July 20 story in the Liverpool Echo, Moyes and Kinnear were seen talking for a long time in the tunnel as the players warmed up after the defeat at Ewood Park. After witnessing the dreadful loss from the director’s box, Kinnear is said to have “no doubts” that he must assist in acquiring upgrades through the transfer market.
