The latest West Bromwich Albion news from BirminghamLive, as Dan Mason adds another to the team.
West Brom have signed their second defender of the summer, with George Campbell joining from USA.
The 24-year-old arrives from Major League Soccer club CF Montreal for an unknown amount, subject to international clearance, on a four-year deal.
The Baggies signed Nat Phillips from Liverpool earlier in the transfer season.
Campbell is a versatile defender who can play both right-back and center-back. He has made 16 appearances in the current MLS season and earned his first USMNT cap in January.

He said, “I’m very excited to be here. I honestly cannot wait to put on the boots and begin training.
“When the opportunity to sign arrived, I wanted to seize it and play football in Europe. I am ready to leave.
“For me, the most important thing is to keep focused on the task at hand, which is to help the team win. Whatever hurdles arise on the way, I’ll be prepared.”
Albion sporting director Andrew Nestor added: “We are delighted to welcome George to the club. George brings tremendous first-team experience despite his young age.
“His progressive play, positional diversity, and physicality enhance our defensive unit, expanding our choices.
“He has been in season since February and can now join our pre-season at a critical time as we ramp up to our home opener.”
