Norwich City legend Teemu Pukki on Mathias Kvistgaarden deal.

Teemu Pukki believes Mathias Kvistgaarden will continue to score goals for Norwich City.
The 23-year-old joined the Canaries from Brondby earlier this month for an initial £6.9 million, mirroring Pukki’s move as a free agent in 2018.
Although the Finn arrived with less fanfare than his predecessor, he went on to become a Carrow Road legend, scoring 88 goals and winning two player of the season awards in five years.
He believes Kvistgaarden can also score goals in yellow and green, as he has done in his native Denmark.
“I definitely believe he can continue to score goals at Norwich,” Pukki told reporters. “I’ve seen him score a lot of goals in recent years, and he also made his national team debut. “So I know how he plays and that he’s scored goals, but I don’t know much about his abilities.
“I believe they already have a really good striker in Josh Sargent. I believe he is currently the best striker in the Championship. But I believe he will help Mathias do well over there.”
Pukki, who previously played in the MLS with Minnesota United, is now in his second season with HJK Helsinki. He still enjoys Danish football, though, and has been encouraged by the influx of Scandinavian players in Norfolk.
Oscar Schwartau, a teenage midfielder, joined Kvistgaarden in the summer of 2024, alongside former Brondby player Anis Ben Slimane.
“I have opened the door for Brøndby players to go to Norwich,” said the 35-year-old to Viaplay. “I believe Kvistgaarden is the third or fourth player after me who has played for Brøndby and is joining Norwich.
” “It’s fantastic that they’ve started paying more attention to Danish football after I left and have brought in some players from there. That’s a big deal.
