Chelsea agree loan for £8.5m player they are hoping to profit on.

Chelsea’s summer is at its busiest, with a slew of players seeking temporary or permanent homes for the upcoming season.
They are being removed one by one, with some barely appearing in the news cycle. Today, the club announced another outgoing loan on their official website.
Wiley returns to where he was getting comfortable

However, injuries made it difficult for him to break through there, and in our standard mid-season asset shuffle, he was transferred to Watford in the Championship, freeing up a foreign loan spot for Joao Felix and Renato Veiga to use.
Wiley had much more success at Watford after February, making 10 appearances, so it makes sense to send him back there now.
Picking up where he left off should allow him to start the season on a high note, and after a year of adaptation, we should see Wiley at his best.
Chelsea look to juice up USA international for sale and profit
There does not appear to be much belief that the USA international will ever be good enough to start for Chelsea, but there is a sense that a strong run in the Championship may spark transfer interest in him.
We paid around £8.5 million to sign him, so a profit is certainly possible if he impresses somewhere during the course of a season.
Chelsea’s first team still lacks a backup left back, and Wiley is clearly not seen as a solution to that problem at present.
