Blackburn Rovers fans will love Callum Brittain’s latest comments amid exit speculation
In an attempt to build on the strong conclusion to the previous season, Blackburn Rovers are now in Spain for
preseason in order to get ready for the 2025–26 Championship season.
After barely missing out on the top six at the end of the previous season, Rovers are vying for a play-off finish in
2025–2026.
After John Eustace departed Ewood Park to go to Derby County in February, it took some time for the club to adjust,
but Valerien Ismael began to see results in the last few weeks of the season that will offer fans hope for the upcoming
campaign.
A number of players were essential to this strong finish to the season, but some of these players have drawn interest
from Championship rivals.
Both Danny Batth and Andreas Weimann have relocated to Derby. Tyrhys Dolan has not yet found a club after his
contract with Blackburn expired, but it seems unlikely that he will rejoin the team.
Callum Brittain is another player gathering interest, with the full back being linked to Middlesbrough and Derby
County.
Callum Brittain talks about Blackburn’s pre-season in Spain

After putting Blackburn’s team through its paces in the Spanish sun, Brittain shared his opinions on the Lancashire
club’s preparations for the Championship season.
“That was a good one,” he commented in an interview with Rovers TV. pleasant and warm. The bike ride up the hill
was lovely. The best it can be.
“[It’s] beautiful to be fair. It’s nice. Just hot and dry. Not the best conditions for football, but it is hard work in it.
“If you can get through this heat, then you can get through anything back home.”
The speculation around Callum Brittain
Since Brittain declined to play in Blackburn Rovers’ preseason friendly against Accrington Stanley, there were many
rumours that he was eager to leave the team.
This gave many people the impression that he was undoubtedly leaving, and Middlesbrough was the front-runner to
sign him since he would enable Rob Edwards to fulfil his goals there. Derby was also interested in him.
The full back, however, has been travelling to Spain, where he has been training diligently and started in their 5-1
victory over Qatar SC.
According to Dolan, Batth, and Weimann, he might have to leave Blackburn when his contract expires next summer
because the club’s owners are notoriously uncooperative in negotiations.
