Callum Wilson, a striker with ties to Leeds United, is apparently in negotiations to join West Ham, a rival in the Premier League. Earlier this summer, Wilson was reportedly a target for Elland Road officials.

Leeds was named by talkSPORT as the “front-runners” to sign the free agent striker. The 33-year-old left Newcastle United at the end of June after the team decided not to activate a 12-month contract extension.
Wilson was offered a pay-as-you-play contract by Newcastle, but it was turned down at the same time Leeds was finalizing a deal for Lukas Nmecha, another free agent striker.
Shortly after the Wolfsburg exodus was announced, there were no more rumors about the former England international, although he might yet show up at Elland Road the following season.

The former England international may yet make an appearance at Elland Road the following season, but there were no more reports regarding him shortly after the Wolfsburg exodus was made public.
Wilson, who has 88 Premier League goals but did not score in 18 top-flight games the previous season, is now being pursued by West Ham in an attempt to bolster their attacking line.
Leeds will also keep a watch on what their probable bottom-half opponents are doing, even though they are unlikely to continue to be interested in the free agency No. 9.
