On Thursday, Wolves formally declared that they had signed Jhon Arias from Fluminense.
The Colombian has now spoken for the first time since the completion of his transfer. Fluminense revealed the Colombian’s move to Wolves a few days ago, but the 27-year-old has now formally agreed to a four-year deal at Molineux with a one-year extension option.
After bidding adieu to Fluminense, the team that finally provided him with the opportunity to emulate Andre and realise his dream of playing in the Premier League, Arias broke down in tears.
It was even implied that Arias had accepted a lower salary in order to join Wolves, which is uncommon in the current game. After Matheus Cunha left Wolves, Arias was officially announced as the team’s new number ten.
