“I’m thrilled.” Following his move, Jhon Arias said something that Wolves supporters would adore.

On Thursday, Wolves formally declared that they had signed Jhon Arias from Fluminense.

The Colombian has now spoken for the first time since the completion of his transfer. Fluminense revealed the Colombian’s move to Wolves a few days ago, but the 27-year-old has now formally agreed to a four-year deal at Molineux with a one-year extension option.

After bidding adieu to Fluminense, the team that finally provided him with the opportunity to emulate Andre and realise his dream of playing in the Premier League, Arias broke down in tears.

It was even implied that Arias had accepted a lower salary in order to join Wolves, which is uncommon in the current game. After Matheus Cunha left Wolves, Arias was officially announced as the team’s new number ten.

This is the first time the dynamic winger has spoken.

Wolves supporters receive a message from Jhon Arias after the trade is finalised.

Even the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t persuade the Colombian international to join Al-Nassr on a mega-money deal before to his move to Wolverhampton because he was always determined to team up with Vitor Pereira.

Arias discussed his transfer to Wolves earlier this week, praising Pereira and the midfield tandem of Andre and Joao Gomes.

For the first time, the diminutive attacker has spoken directly to Wolves supporters, and his words will excite them about what he can accomplish in gold

He wrote in a translated message, “Hello Wolves supporters, this is Jhon Arias.”

“I want to express my happiness at being a member of this club and being here. I’m looking forward to a fantastic season for all of us, and I’ll see you at Molineux soon. God bless you, and I’ll give you a hug.

The quality, hunger, and drive of Pereira’s newest addition suggest that Arias will become a cult figure at Molineux and, ideally, be able to take Cunha’s magic in the closing third.

Arias’s greatest strength is his availability. Arias has earned the chance to show off his skills in England after rising to prominence in Brazil, particularly after making an impression against Manchester City in 2023.

The Colombian is a constant presence for both club and nation in addition to having amazing skills including creativity, upper body strength, and turn of pace.

The fact that only Jules Kounde of Barcelona played more minutes than Arias in 2024 speaks volumes about the exceptional shape he maintains.

The best quality a player may possess is availability since, in the end, being available for selection at all times is preferable to someone who is continuously injured, regardless of whether they are a world-class player or not.

Arias will therefore be hoping to maintain his perfect injury record as he starts the next phase of his career.
