Swans ‘winning McBurnie race’
The Sun’s paper edition reports Swansea are now “winning the race” to sign former striker Oli McBurnie.
The Scotland striker is currently a free agent after leaving Spanish club Las Palmas this summer. He is currently weighing up his options, with Hull City and another one of his former employers, Sheffield United, also showing interest in him.
The Tigers have been hit with a transfer embargo, meaning their chances of landing the 29-year-old are slim.

Recently-relegated side Ipswich Town are also mentioned as possible suitors for the Swans academy graduate.

But at this stage of the summer, Swansea are in pole position, report the national publication. Head coach Alan Sheehan is likely to see Jerry Yates leave the club in the next few weeks, while Josh Ginnelly is also set to move on.
