Report: Birmingham Hijack Celtic’s Long-Term Target.

Celtic remain interested in bringing Bojan Miovski back to the Scottish Premiership, but Birmingham City has made the first move for the striker.

[Gol] According to reports, the English Championship side is currently in talks with Girona about a potential deal.

Miovski left Aberdeen for Spain last summer after two successful seasons at Pittodrie, scoring 44 goals in 98 games. His time in Girona, however, hasn’t gone as planned. He has struggled to establish a regular place in the team, scoring only four goals in 25 appearances. Girona are now believed to be willing to sell the North Macedonian forward. Celtic have been closely monitoring the situation. The club wants to add more firepower up front and sees Miovski as a player who understands the Scottish game and can score goals. He caused problems for defences across the league during his time at Aberdeen and fits the profile of the striker Brendan Rodgers is looking for.

While Celtic has long been linked with Miovski, Birmingham are the first to make an official approach.

They hope to add goals to their team as they look to recover from a difficult season in the Championship.

Their interest may force other clubs to move quickly if they want to sign the player. It remains to be seen whether Celtic will increase their interest now that another club is involved.

Miovski would most likely want to play more regularly after a frustrating spell in Spain, and a return to Scotland could be appealing.

But if Birmingham can reach an agreement with Girona, Celtic may miss out unless they move quickly.

Birmingham is already developing a strong connection to Scottish football. They signed Kyogo earlier this summer and are led by former Celtics coach Chris Davies.

The English side also has Tomoki Iwata, which strengthens the links between the clubs and gives Miovski a familiar face if he decides to move.

For the time being, the Hoops are still in the running, but they must decide whether Miovski is the striker they want to invest heavily in this summer. With the new season just around the corner, decisions will not be postponed much longer.
