Don Goodman backs ‘stronger’ Norwich City for play-off tilt.

Don Goodman, a Championship pundit, believes Norwich City’s new look can push for a play-off spot this season.
This summer, the Canaries have already confirmed nine new signings, with a deal for Mirko Topic in the works.
They also named Liam Manning as their new manager, succeeding Johannes Hoff Thorup, after poaching him from Championship rivals Bristol City.
Manning’s track record of exceeding expectations and outperforming his resources was a key factor in sporting director Ben Knapper’s decision to sign him earlier this summer.
Goodman is optimistic about his chances at Carrow Road, believing he is about to join the biggest club he has ever played for.
“He’s a Norwich lad, so that’s going to give him an instant connection with the fans,” Goodman told casino.co.uk. “I believe he only had one lull earlier in his managerial career when things weren’t quite as they should have been.
He was highly regarded at MK Dons, and he has generally had success or achieved his goals wherever he has gone, with clubs meeting or exceeding expectations.
“He did an excellent job at Bristol City and left with high regard.
This is a new challenge for him because he is now at a big club, Norwich City, in contrast to previous clubs. “With Norwich City in the Championship, there is an expectation that they will be in or near the top, as evidenced by last season.
“They didn’t hang around before getting rid of Johannes Hoff Thorup and the pressure’s on right from the off when you’re at a club like that.”
Manning’s arrival, combined with a busy summer of recruitment, has given Goodman renewed confidence that City can challenge for a top-six spot again.
“When you look at the recruitment, this is a much stronger squad compared to what they started with last season, and I’m fully expecting a big improvement from them,” Goodman told ESPN.

I know they did it before under David Wagner, but the style of play did not go over well with the audience. “I don’t believe there will be any issues with that under Liam Manning.
They’ve spent money, and I expect more to come from reading between the lines. “I expect them to be much stronger and certainly in and around the playoff spots.”
