Everton poised to launch a bid for £40 million player who will become ‘one of the best in the Premier League’.

According to sources, Everton are set to make another bid for Tyler Dibling. The Toffees’ initial offer for the Southampton winger was fruitless. The Times first e that Everton made a £27 million deal, which was turned down by the Saints.

However, it is expected that David Moyes’ side would return with a better deal for Dibling, despite Southampton’s desire to pocket more than £40 million.

Everton intend to sign him for roughly £35 million. The 18-year-old had a breakthrough season in 2024-25, serving as a beacon of light in a dark season for the Saints, who finished last in the Premier League.

Dibling scored four goals and provided three assists in 38 games. The England youth international can play in multiple roles. Although he primarily operated out wide, he was occasionally employed as an attacking midfielder and center-forward.

After joining Southampton’s first squad, Dibling’s teammate Yukinari Sugawara supported him to become one of the Premier League’s finest players.

He told the Southern Daily Echo: “I still can’t believe he’s still 18 years old; he’s already a top, top talent.

“He did some great things in the game and created numerous opportunities. He received a penalty and defended brilliantly.

He is a terrific talent who will become one of the Premier League’s best players. I truly enjoyed playing the game with him.

“It was quite comfortable to play on the right side, and he understands what I want. We had very good communication. It’ll be better, I think.
