Oli McBurnie is considering which team to join this summer after leaving Las Palmas.
According to Alan Nixon, Ipswich Town has lately entered the battle to recruit the 29-year-old, considering him as an essential addition to their striking department.
Sheffield United are also reportedly interested in signing McBurnie, just a year after he left Bramall Lane.
The Scot spent five years with the Blades before going on his Spanish journey with Las Palmas. His trip to the continent ended on a low note, with Los Amarillos relegated and McBurnie out of contract.
Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Sky Sports pundit and former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie believes that both Ipswich Town and Sheffield United would gain greatly from McBurnie’s presence next season.

Lee Hendrie believes Ipswich Town and Sheffield United should seek a trade for Oli McBurnie
“It’s no surprise that Oli McBurnie has interest from the top end of the Championship,” Hendrie told me. “He was at Sheffield United and has a good understanding of the club.
“Ipswich are seeking to replace Liam Delap, which is always going to be difficult. There’s no doubt that his move to Chelsea for that kind of money demonstrates the type of player he is.

“It’s a question of whether they want to pursue the experience path or bring in a younger centre forward. But I believe both of these teams will be very close to signing him because of the quality of player he is and what he can deliver.
“He’s a clever footballer who can score goals. So, I believe it will be difficult to predict who would win the war, but it comes as no surprise that these two teams are vying for him.

Sheffield United has a strong advantage in the chase for Oli McBurnie
McBurnie is interested in joining Sheffield United and Ipswich Town, both of which are among the favourites for promotion to the Premier League next season.
As a result, it will be little details that force the 29-year-old to make a decision, and the odds appear to be in Ruben Selles’ favor.
The Blades can provide McBurnie with the comfort of familiar surroundings and a smooth homecoming to a dressing room he knows, which Kieran McKenna and co. cannot match.
When family considerations are taken into account, a Sheffield United revival may prove too appealing for the striker, rendering Ipswich’s bid fruitless.
