Sheffield United make their move to seal Bramall Lane reunion ahead of Ipswich Town, Hull & Swansea City

Sheffield United have made a formal offer to striker Oli McBurnie and are awaiting his response, amid interest from Ipswich Town, Hull City and Swansea City.

Sheffield United need further attacking options ahead of the new season and have settled on trying to reunite with former striker Oli McBurnie, who’s a free agent after the cancellation of his contract with the Spanish club Las Palmas at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Blades have already lost two strikers since the end of last season, with Ben Brereton-Diaz having returned to Southampton at the end of his loan spell with the club and having failed to agree terms with Rhian Brewster, who’s agreed to move to Derby County, whilst Kieffer Moore is also set to join Wrexham.

Blades try for McBurnie breakthrough ahead of Ipswich, Hull and Swansea.

The Sheffield Star report that Sheffield United have made an offer of a contract to Oli McBurnie, and are currently awaiting his response.

But it’s by no means guaranteed that the 29-year-old striker ends up back at Bramall Lane.
