Wrexham’s return to the second division after a 43-year wait has been long overdue, but they are now prepared to dominate the Championship.

Phil Parkinson made some wise hiring decisions this summer, and it appears that the Red Dragons have a team that can at least adapt to their new environment with relative ease.

The first match is against newly relegated Southampton at St. Mary’s, which won’t be an easy one by any means. Will it, however, be better than the first time Wrexham played a second-tier opening day match?
