Sheffield Wednesday players have been promised that a takeover of the club is coming in order to convince them to commit to the club’s upcoming league fixtures.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the Owls have held talks with dissatisfied members of the first team squad in a bid to persuade them from going on strike.
Sheffield Wednesday players have become disgruntled in recent months due to late payment of wages, which has even led to departures such as Michael Smith and Josh Windass.
Danny Rohl has also departed as manager, leaving Henrik Pedersen in charge of the team going into the new league campaign, with this message coming hours before their opening game clash with Leicester City.
