Sheffield Wednesday are allegedly in discussions with Manchester United to loan Harry Amass.
The BBC claims that the two clubs discussed a possible temporary move for the teenager.
Last season, Amass broke into the first-team squad at Old Trafford and appeared five times in the Premier League under Ruben Amorim.
However, a loan transfer to the Championship may provide him with more regular game time, allowing him to gain the senior experience he requires to contend for Man United in the long term.
Manchester United worried of Harry Amass’ move to Sheffield Wednesday

When asked if he’s shocked Man United would pursue this deal for Amass, FLW’s Sheffield Wednesday fan analyst Patrick McKenna said it’s not a club he’d send a young youngster to given the turmoil behind the scenes.
However, he feels the promise of regular game time will be enough to persuade the Premier League team that this is the best next step for the youngster at this juncture of his development.
“All the players linked to us in recent weeks, it has come as a surprise that these players seemingly may be coming to Hillsborough,” McKenna told Football League World.
“In the instance of Harry Amass, who comes from a huge club like Manchester United, I am surprised that they would want him to come to Sheffield Wednesday.
“Because, let’s be honest, the troubles at the club are now generally known across sport, and it’s difficult not to be aware as a football fan that Sheffield Wednesday is currently in complete chaos.
“It is a really unstable and toxic environment for any player, therefore in my opinion, we are the last club you would want to bring a young kid to for loan experience.
“I would imagine that they’d want him to move to a stable club where he won’t have to worry about his pay, and where he won’t be part of a tremendous uphill battle with a threadbare group.
“And any other club than Sheffield Wednesday would appear to provide a greater platform for the development of a professional footballer.
“But maybe I’m only seeing this as a fan, not as a footballer.
“Maybe they see it as a chance that he will be assured football due to the player shortage.
“But whatever the reason, if United are willing to let him come to Hillsborough then that’s definitely a plus for Sheffield Wednesday.”
Sheffield Wednesday’s next game will be at home against Stoke City on August 16.

Amass’ signing would be fantastic for Sheffield Wednesday.
Man United will most likely cover the majority, if not all, of Amass’ salary as part of a loan agreement, so a transfer to Hillsborough should not be a huge problem.
The full-back’s minutes at Old Trafford would be limited this season, with Patrick Dorgu, Diogo Dalot, and Luke Shaw likely ahead of him in the pecking order when everyone is fit.
So a transfer to the Championship holds a lot of promise, and Sheffield Wednesday may be the best choice for ensuring consistent minutes.
Man United will be satisfied with the deal as long as he plays every week, and Henrik Pedersen’s side should benefit greatly.
