Wolves up the asking price for a wanted striker by £26 million as two teams try to acquire a transfer.

Wolves should prioritise incoming players, but it doesn’t mean the team should stop attempting to get rid of deadwood.
Fabio Silva, who signed with Molineux five seasons ago, is one player who appears to be halfway out of the door. Silva and Wolves both anticipated a move away, but it hasn’t happened yet. Wolves has been obstinate about their assessment of the player, making the exit negotiations difficult. They appear to have altered it, though not in a way that would be advantageous to prospective suitors. This transfer window, Borussia Dortmund has expressed interest in Fabio Silva. Three bids from Dortmund for Silva have been turned down.
Wolves are allegedly taking advantage of the fact that AS Roma is reportedly interested in Silva as well. A BILD story claims that Wolves have raised the price of Fabio Silva as a result of AS Roma’s interest. According to the source, “A transfer fee of between €25 and €30 million (£21.5 million and £26 million) is apparently no longer sufficient” because of interest from both Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma. Dortmund was believed to have withdrawn from the Fabio Silva deal, but according to BILD, they are still “actively pursuing.”
Additionally, Wolves has altered their assessment of Silva on previous occasions, and it’s possible that Fosun is trying to avert a bidding battle. Fabio Silva has had a really difficult time at Wolves. It’s safe to say that the club didn’t get their money’s worth when they paid a club record £35 million for the Portuguese striker. Given that Wolves still need to upgrade their front group, any possible price for Silva must be reinvested in the team.
Throughout his career in England, the forward has been sent out on loan four times and has only managed five goals in 72 games for the Old Gold. It would be some of the best business the Molineux club has done this window if they can negotiate a sum higher than £26 million. With more cash in the bank, they could be able to expand their options and eventually acquire a player to support Jorgen Strand Larsen at the front of the queue.
