“Bad news”: Farke and Leeds’ £40,000-per-week star receives an injury “blow”

Leeds defeats Everton 1-0 to begin the Premier League season.

With their 1-0 victory over Everton on Monday night, the Whites had the ideal start to their Premier League comeback.

Anton Stach, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Lucas Perri all made their debuts from the beginning, and summer acquisition Lukas Nmecha converted the game-winning penalty kick late on.

Noah Okafor has now been added by Leeds to further expand their attacking options. Farke was thrilled that the Switzerland international had cost the Whites up to £18 million.

Farke affirms the “blow” to Ethan Ampadu’s injury.

After Ethan Ampadu was substituted after a hard tackle in the second half against Everton, Farke gave the Leeds captain some “bad news” when he was questioned about his health.

Unfortunately, there is horrible news about him. We must play the next (few) games without him. Due to an MCL injury, he will undoubtedly miss at least the international break. After the international break, I want to have him back. He returns to the training field rather quickly following an injury. He is a rough young man. It’s a setback for us; we will miss him in the two forthcoming Premier League games as well as the cup match.
