At Burnley, REGIS Le Bris has made one alteration to his Sunderland squad: Omar Alderete will start for the first time.
Arthur Masuaku and Jenson Seelt, one of the substitutes, are replaced by Alderete. Harrison Jones is benched in favor of the former West Ham defender, who makes his debut in the matchday squad.
Nordi Mukiele, who trained this week but wasn’t considered ready, isn’t included in the squad. In the second round of the Carabao Cup, he is anticipated to make his debut against Huddersfield Town.
Trai Hume, Dan Ballard, and Reinildo join Alderete in the defense, as Robin Roefs starts in goal for Sunderland once more.
In midfield, Granit Xhaka, Noah Sadiki, and Habib Diarra are once again selected, while Simon Adingra and Chemsdine Talbi back Eliezer Mayenda. The replacements include Wilson Isidor, Marc Guiu, Patrick Roberts, Dan Neil, and Enzo Le Fee.
