The 19-year-old made his debut on August 19 in the UEFA Champions League playoff loss to Club Brugge after joining on a season-long loan from Premier League team Brentford.
The young player acknowledged Martin’s impact in his remarks prior to Rangers’ match against St. Mirren in Paisley, saying he was crucial to his development and decision to relocate to Glasgow.
Meghoma stated on Rangers’ official website, “He was the most influential part of [my move] because he was the one who gave me my debut.”
“I’ve played with him for a long time, so he is familiar with my style. One of the main reasons I’m here is because of him.
He stated that he was happy to make his debut against Club Brugge despite reservations regarding the transfer’s timing and that he had always known he would start.
“From the beginning, I was aware that I was playing. I wasn’t pushed into the deep end, unlike what many others claimed. I always looked forward to playing football here.
