Huddersfield Town complete 13th summer transfer as Leicester City starlet checks in
Will Alves, an attacking midfielder for Leicester City, has been loaned to Huddersfield Town for the season.
The 20-year-old joins the Terriers as their 13th acquisition of the transfer window. He played for the Foxes against
Town in their Carabao Cup match earlier this month.
After spending the second half of the previous season with Cardiff City, the attacking midfielder is starting his second
loan stint to date.
“Will is a gifted young attacking player with heaps of potential, and his desire to improve, be involved and impact
games could not have been more evident in the conversations we’ve enjoyed before finalising this move,” Town boss
Lee Grant told his club’s website.
We are really fortunate to have finished most of our transfer business before to the start of the season, but we have
continued to look for any options that we believe will improve the group’s overall balance, and Will perfectly fits that
description. His adaptability, which allows him to play a variety of places within the final third, contributes to the
tactical and positional flexibility we have already demonstrated several times this season.

“I had no qualms about accepting this move after learning about the interest and discussing the club’s vision with
manager Lee Grant,” the new recruit Alves continued. I was very eager to join and contribute to the squad because I
had already witnessed its energy, hunger, and quality this season.
“I want to contribute to Town this season since I’m an attack-minded player who enjoys making an influence on
games with goals and assists. Since the team has gotten off to a great start and practically every position has depth
and quality, I know I’ll have to give it my all every day, which is an exciting challenge.
“I hope I can contribute to the unique vibe and mood that surrounds the players, staff, and supporters throughout
the season. I am eager to start as a Terrier because I have great expectations for myself and the club clearly shares
them.
