Birmingham City lashes out at Coventry City after a “daylight robbery.”

Coventry City’s confirmation of ticket prices for their forthcoming Championship match has left Birmingham City supporters in shock. The kickoff at the CBS Arena on Saturday, September 27 at 12:30 pm will be shown live on Sky Sports for £45 for adults and £35.00 for children. Young people (18–21) and senior supporters (over 65) are being charged £40 apiece to sit in the away end at Coventry.
When the Blues distributed tickets to their fans, they attached a disclaimer because they are so expensive. “Please take note: The home team has set the ticket prices for the fixture,” they stated. On Coventry’s website, the match is categorised as “Category A+,” and home fans should expect to pay the same fees. “We are outraged by the ticket prices for the upcoming away fixture at Coventry City – £45 for adults and £35 for U18s is nothing short of daylight robbery,” the Birmingham City Official Supporters Club said in a strongly worded statement.
“All supporters must be able to afford and access football; it cannot be priced to take advantage of supporters, particularly families and younger fans. “These costs are intolerable and demonstrate a total lack of consideration for the match-goer. “Action must be taken by the EFL and the new independent football regulator. To safeguard the game’s future and maintain equity for fans who travel across the nation, away ticket costs must be limited to £30.
“The lifeblood of football is its supporters.” There wouldn’t be a game without us. Time to take action. The entire 2,744 ticket allocation has been given to the Blues. Coventry will make about £110,000 if all those tickets are sold at an average of £40.
