Olympiacos in talks with AFC Bournemouth over Zain Silcott-Duberry

AFC Bournemouth and Olympiacos are negotiating over Zain Silcott-Duberry.

The 20-year-old has played for Andoni Iraola’s first team since joining AFC Bournemouth from Chelsea’s academy in January, but it now appears that he may be moving to Greece. Super League Greece clubs have until September 12 to complete their transfer window.

Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam claims that the clubs are in discussions over the move, and the forward might travel to Greece on Monday to complete the move, should final arrangements be agreed. A key member of the development squad that advanced to the Professional Development League playoff final the previous season, Silcott-Duberry joined the Cherries in January.

He also made 11 appearances in the first team match day squad last season, coming off the bench twice: once in the FA Cup in the 2-0 victory over Everton and once in the Premier League in the 5-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. He came off the bench in the final preseason friendly against Real Sociedad at Vitality Stadium, and he has occasionally played for Iraola’s team during the preseason.
