Ipswich now looking to sign 37-cap England int’l who’s scored 51 PL goals

Ipswich is now seeking to recruit a 37-cap England international with 51 Premier League goals.

According to reports, Ipswich Town is currently seeking to sign a 37-cap England international who might play a significant role in Kieran McKenna’s bid for promotion. Ipswich was supposed to compete for an instant return to the top tier after being demoted from the Premier League the previous season, but it’s safe to say that their Championship campaign has started slowly. Despite spending a lot of money in the summer, including some of their most costly new additions, Kasey McAteer and Sindre Walle Egeli, the Tractor Boys are currently in 20th place in the rankings after losing all four of their first games.

Despite their dismal start, McKenna’s team has plenty of time to improve, and Preston North End manager Paul Heckingbottom thinks they will have a chance to advance: “They signed League One players who were ready for the Championship, added a few more, and then moved up. They didn’t abandon their philosophy when they recruited in the Premier League, and there were times when we believed they would remain up. Therefore, there isn’t much of a difference there.

“I believe that will serve them well.” Nevertheless, a Spanish rumour claims that Ipswich has already set their sights on acquiring another player to increase their prospects of promotion after entering the running for Dele Alli, who recently became a free agent after leaving Serie A team Como. It has also been reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Alli, who has only made one game for Como and has struggled to turn around his career since leaving Tottenham Hotspur.

The offensive midfielder is an attractive option because he is available without paying a transfer fee, but a move to Portman Road would provide the 29-year-old the opportunity to play a significant role for a Championship team that is vying for promotion. The former Tottenham player was a formidable force at his best, scoring 51 Premier League goals while residing in north London and establishing himself as a consistent starter for England with 37 caps.
