THE international break is over and there were a number of standout performances from the Cherries players for their countries in the final games of the window.
Ben Gannon-Doak led Scotland to a 2-0 victory against Belarus in a World Cup qualifier on Monday night, tying them with Denmark at the top of Group C.
Gannon-Doak was commended for his contribution in the victory, having started the game as one of four changes made by Steve Clake.
Playing on the left, the 19-year-old was a standout, demonstrating a desire to take on his opponent and create momentum for Scotland moving forward.
Ryan Christie also came off the bench for Scotland, replacing his Cherries teammate after 74 minutes.
In the African World Cup qualifiers, Antoine Semenyo began for Ghana, which defeated Mali 1-0 to enhance their qualification chances.
Semenyo played 72 minutes, and Alexander Djiku’s goal was the difference between the teams.
Amine Adli also played in Morocco’s 2-0 triumph over Zambia on Monday, coming on for the final four minutes.
Finally, on Monday, Veljko Milosavljevic, who signed on deadline day, played the entire 90 minutes for Serbia U21s in a 3-0 loss against France U21.
Fellow Serbian Djordje Petrovic played the entire game for the senior team on Tuesday, but it was a night to forget for the Cherries goalkeeper.
Under Thomas Tuchel, a dominating England side dominated Serbia, winning 5-0 in Belgrade.
David Brooks played 62 minutes as Wales lost 1-0 to Canada in a friendly match in Swansea.
After playing the full 90 minutes for Spain U21s earlier in the window in a 3-0 victory over Cyprus, new Cherries signing Alex Jimenez was left out of the matchday squad as they defeated Kosovo 3-1.
Tyler Adams played 66 minutes of the USA’s friendly against Japan on Wednesday, as Maurico Pochettino’s team won 2-0 at Lower.com Field.
Julio Soler did not play for Argentina as they were defeated 1-0 by Ecuador; the young left back is still looking for his first senior cap for his country.
The next international break is in a month, at the beginning of October.
