Unlucky Saints star could emerge biggest winner from Danny Rohl’s new move links.

Joe Aribo could make the perfect comeback with a return to Rangers, as Danny Rohl emerges as the new leader of the Scottish side.
A sage once said: “Once is a mistake, twice is a habit in the making, but when repeated endlessly, it’s no longer error, it’s intent.” And that reflects Southampton manager Simon Rusk’s current squad planning.
In case you’re confused, we’re talking about midfielder Joe Aribo’s exclusion from the Saints’ squad, which is too big a mistake to overlook.
As you may be aware, Aribo has failed to start in all four previous games under Rusk, and that trend continues today against Manchester City. And that is enough to convey that the Nigerian is not a priority in Rusk’s plans.
Imagine being one of the club’s few Champions League-caliber players and being forced to sit on the bench for younger players on a regular basis. No matter how loyal a Saints fan you are, Aribo’s situation must worry you.
But not anymore, as the 28-year-old midfielder can plot a perfect comeback script, if the ongoing rumours are to be believed.
This is because Saints target Danny Rohl is reportedly in talks with Aribo’s former club, Rangers.
Aribo will benefit from Rohl’s recent Rangers transfer links.
According to TeamTalk, the Scottish club is the most recent addition to Rohl’s competitive summer transfer market. Importantly, Rangers’ Champions League contention may entice the manager to take on an exciting project soon.
So, if this goes through, Rohl will naturally consider Joe Aribo as an immediate signing. After all, few players deserve to be called back more than Aribo, who nearly helped them win their first European trophy in recent history with his final goal in the Europa League 2021/22.
Now, imagine the scenes if, after turning down Southampton, Rohl accepts the Rangers job and works wonders with Aribo’s signing. It must be a terrifying prospect for the St. Mary’s faithful to consider.
But, perhaps, Southampton deserve it after their recent treatment of superstar Joe Aribo.
