‘Rooney has football in his blood’ – Man Utd legend tipped to succeed in coaching

Rooney has been advised that his managerial breakthrough is inevitable.
Joe Jacobson, a former EFL star, thinks Rooney has the motivation to succeed in the dugout and has predicted him
for a future position with the Terriers despite his lacklustre stints at Plymouth Argyle and Birmingham City.
After Michael Duff left, Huddersfield Town is currently looking for a permanent manager.

In an interview with Football League World, Jacobson acknowledged Huddersfield’s present difficulties but said
Rooney’s perseverance might finally bring him triumph.
“Huddersfield is a big club, but I think they let Michael Duff go way too soon,” he stated.
“Wayne Rooney has a strong desire to become a manager and has a football background, but he hasn’t been able to
accomplish so yet. “I do believe he will succeed at some point,” Jacobson said.
Jacobson remained unsure when asked if Rooney would be a good fit at Huddersfield, but he reaffirmed his faith in
the former England captain’s abilities.
He went on, “Is Huddersfield a good fit? You would have to talk to Wayne Rooney to find out, but I think he will
eventually succeed as a manager.
Huddersfield will stay in League One for the 2025–26 season after a dismal finish to the season that included five
straight losses and seven losses in their last eight games.
