As they both rank well among the early pacesetters inside the top six, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have already emerged as this season’s two surprise packages. With a golden ticket to Old Trafford perhaps up for grabs, the main draw is probably going to be in the dugouts rather than on the field.

When captain Marc Guehi becomes a free agent at the end of this season, it is unclear if he will be happy to stay if the same thing happens. Glasner is already being pressured by Palace chairman Steve Parish to sign a new contract in an attempt to “align their interests.”
