Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that Ra’ees Bangura-Williams has signed a new, long-term contract at The Den.

The 20-year-old signs a new contract to stay with the Lions for the foreseeable future.

Bangura-Williams made his first-team debut in January’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round victory over Dagenham & Redbridge, impressing in Kevin Nugent’s Under 21s setup and scoring just 10 minutes after coming on.

“I’m grateful for everyone’s support so far, and I have more to give to the fans. It is an honour to be here.”

“It’s been an incredible season; it’s changed my life, to be honest. Bangura-Williams stated, “The way the club is trying to bring through youth players, I believe it is the right place for me to develop.”

Ra’ees has excited The Den’s fans with 13 appearances and a number of assists, most notably for Casper De Norre at home against Cardiff City and Mihailo Ivanovic at Portsmouth in January; his form has earned him a call-up to England’s Elite League Squad.

Bangura-Williams missed the final part of the 2024/25 season due to injury, but will now look to secure a spot in Alex Neil’s starting lineup for 2025/26.

Millwall’s Director of Football, Steve Gallen, said: “Ra’ees’ remarkable rise to the first team since January has been a true inspiration, from his Millwall debut to his first England Under 20s cap, and we are delighted to see him sign a new long-term contract.”

“This demonstrates our unwavering belief in Ra’ees as a person and first-team player. It is also a well-deserved reward for his efforts and dedication since stepping up. Every young player at the club dreams of making their first-team debut, and Ra’ees did so as a 20-year-old. He went one step further and scored a goal to commemorate this achievement.

“Ra’ees represents the future we hope to build for this club. Alex Neil believes in him because of his talent on the pitch, and we are confident that this will continue in the coming years. Ra’ees’ contract signing demonstrates his dedication to the club and desire to be a part of its bright future. Finally, I’d like to thank James Berylson and Alex Neil for their help in getting this done.”
