Watford agree deal with Peterborough United player – Hornets secure free signing for summer

Watford concluded the 2024–25 season in 14th place, 11 points behind Bristol City, who finished in sixth place.
Tom Cleverley left the Championship earlier this month, and they are currently hiring a new permanent manager. The Hornets have already begun working behind the scenes to bolster their team for the upcoming campaign.
Watford’s summer window target list now includes Hector Kyprianou of Peterborough United.
Journalist Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato made this claim in a brief update on X, formerly known as Twitter.
With more than a month remaining on his deal, the Cyprus international will become a free agent and depart the League One team. According to Aouna, Watford has reached an agreement to sign the 23-year-old.
Despite being born in England, Kyprianou played both youth and senior Cyprus. After graduating from Leyton Orient’s academy, he spent three years with the main team before joining Peterborough United in 2022.
Although he can play in the middle of the pitch, his primary role is defensive midfield. Kyprianou is expected to play for Watford next season after making 140 appearances for Peterborough United.
