The EFL’s Family Excellence initiative has once again awarded Argyle Gold, based on two visit reports from the 2024–2025 season.

The team has received praise for offering families and new supporters a great experience, saying that there are many reasons for families to visit Home Park again. The EFL has given Argyle the Gold award for the third consecutive season.
The EFL study continues by praising the online pre-match fan and travel guides for their degree of detail, which creates a positive first impression of the team, welcomes supporters, and enables them to arrange their first visit. They claim that on match days, the Biffa Fan Zone is unique, including kids’ activities and live music that creates a memorable experience.
EFL clubs are evaluated by the Family Excellence Scheme, which was first implemented in 2023–2024, and grants them Gold, Silver, or Bronze status based on the quality of their match day experience across a variety of touchpoints, such as ticket sales, match-day entertainment, accessibility, facilities, and communications.
A record number of EFL clubs have accomplished this for the second year in a row.
A record number of EFL teams have been recognized for Family Excellence for a second year in a row. Of these, 18 clubs have been awarded Gold status, and other clubs have advanced from Bronze to Silver accreditation.
“We are thrilled to have received Gold status once more in the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme for 2024/25,” said Visitor Experience Manager Dan Pippen.
“As a fan-focused team, we must give our supporters excellent matchday experiences, and winning Gold for the third straight season is a testament to the tremendous effort put in by everyone in the club to make that happen.
“We will continue to look for ways to improve the matchday experience so that our supporters can enjoy many more special visits to Home Park next season and beyond.”
“We are extremely proud of the effort all our clubs put in to ensure the match-day experience is a welcoming and enjoyable one for all families,” stated Trevor Birch, the Chief Executive of the EFL.
“The remarkable day out that our clubs strive to provide for families across the nation is demonstrated by the fact that more clubs than ever before have been recognized for their Family Excellence. The program is intended to assist clubs, and we have observed that it helps them draw in new followers and grow their steadily increasing fan bases.
