That is your lot from Kieran McKenna! On to Sunday. We will see you at King Power Stadium!

5:46am

Jens Cajuste had a better training week. Hasn’t had a good start, but is eager to contribute to the team’s success. Decision to make over the weekend, but hopefully will play a role.

5:45am

Is there any chance he could return to Ipswich?

KM says they haven’t talked about it much, and it’s not a position they’ve considered for the summer. He adds that there have been’very few’ discussions about the players’ futures. Some talks will take place next week, including with loan players.

5:44am

Kalvin Phillips will not be available this weekend. Season with stops and starts. Arrived after not playing much football in a while. If he had, he might not have joined Town.

Worked hard to get back to his best at the start of the season. KM thought he was getting close to his best around Christmas and was exceptional against Tottenham, but he suffered a serious gash on his foot in that game and hasn’t been able to train consistently.

It’s unlikely that he’ll play again this season.

5:42am

KM claims that Town has had a higher number of tight games this season, but it is all about what they can control. You won’t hear them discuss luck. It is about game management and the execution of specific moments. According to him, Ipswich has not won many undeserved points.

5:40am

Regarding the final game between the two teams, KM believes it will be a major source of frustration heading into the summer. A decision made on the day that cost Town money, not something that happens very often. He believes his team was the better one.

It is what it is; that is the past. Regardless of the circumstances, motivation exists.

5:39am

Town wants to ruin the Vardy party. This is Leicester’s motivation for Sunday.

KM is impressed by his journey. Given that he has dropped down to manage in League One, he is a huge inspiration for many players. A true longevity at the highest level. Someone who many of his teammates will look up to. Wishing him well after Sunday.

5:38am

Delap is nominated for Premier League Young Player of the Year. In very good company. KM laughs as press officer Marcus reminds him of the list of nominees, claiming that he has managed two of them.

5:37am

On George Burley, KM says it’s ‘fantastic’ that he’s been cleared of cancer. Given excellent advice and is extremely supportive.

KM adds that there is no regular dialogue between the two, but he is always available by phone and visits the training ground on occasion.

5:36am

Does Sunday’s game against Leicester have any implications for next season? KM claims Town will not look at things like that. When they play again, they will face different opponents and circumstances.

Town understands that if they win on Sunday, they will most likely finish ahead of Leicester, which has a variety of implications. KM says that’s the ‘clear motivation’ for the weekend.

5:34am

Home form frustration will continue into the summer. Hopefully, beating West Ham next weekend will help to alleviate this. Small margins and key decisions that went against Town have cost them more home wins, indicating some random circumstances beyond their control. Always some extremely difficult games, such as Arsenal vs City at Portman Road.

5:33am

On Brentford: KM acknowledges that it can be interpreted as a snapshot of the season, but they have played a variety of games. Brentford are well-established in the league and have an excellent manager. I did some things well against them, but not enough to produce a result.

5:32am

Broadhead is back in training. There isn’t much change elsewhere. Similar to where it was last week.

Townsend and Szmodics are getting close, but they will not be available against Leicester.

5:32am

Kieran McKenna is here! Away we go…

5:09am

Good afternoon from Playford Road!

Returning for the penultimate time this season. On Sunday, Town will face fellow relegated side Leicester. Kieran McKenna will arrive around 1:30 p.m. to preview the action.
